THE PROBLEM Most of the water mains and drains that make up our underground drainage infrastructure of the highway and road system are in a perilous state, as shown in the photographs. Clearly, their functionality is in danger. CLEANING Cleaning of drains is performed mostly by hand inside the piping system in order to undercover the original structures and visually detect any problems. With temporary solutions, the collapsed areas are stabilized and are prepared for rehabilitation. REHABILITATION Once the mains are clear and the waters have been diverted, the entire infrastructure is repaired through the replacements of entire pipe sections, the welding of loose or ruptured areas, and the rebuilding of deformed or deteriorated areas. During this process it is possible to increase the diameter of the pipes. THE SOLUTION Traditionally it was necessary to replace the entire mains, pipes, or drain systems. Given the costs and inconveniences created by such drastic measures this technique was reserved only for completely collapsed systems. Our innovative solution, without disruptions to traffic and without the need to destroy significant areas of the road, allows us to rehabilitate existing systems on site and with minimal disruptions. Now we are able to offer an effective underground solution to an underground problem.
